SMS Terms of Service (summary)

By opting into SMS from a web form or other medium, you are agreeing to receive SMS messages from SDL Commercial Insurance. This includes appointment reminders, account / service notifications, coverage follow-ups, and marketing (if you opt in). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. 1. Who is texting you

Texts come from SDL Commercial Insurance (Samuel D Landers Agency, California Insurance License #4538988), a Farmers Insurance agency. We help California artisan contractors — HVAC, electricians, flooring installers, landscapers, plumbers, and related trades — with Farmers commercial insurance.

2. Types of messages you can expect

If you opt in, you may receive SMS messages such as:

  • Appointment reminders — for bookings made through our site (Meet in the field — 30 minutes, or Quick call — 15 minutes) or scheduled with our agency
  • Account / service notifications — updates about your inquiry, quote status, policy service, or similar agency communications
  • Coverage follow-ups — for example certificates of insurance (COI) follow-up, document requests, or next steps related to Farmers coverage we are placing or servicing
  • Marketing — information about Farmers commercial insurance products and agency services, if you have opted in to marketing SMS

We only send SMS when you have provided consent through a web form or other medium that clearly discloses SMS. At this time there is no separate SMS consent web form live on our website — our primary contact paths are phone at (408) 876-7107 and our /schedule booking page (Google Calendar). Consent is typically captured directly with our agency; if we publish an SMS opt-in form, it will link these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Messaging frequency

Messaging frequency may vary. You may receive more messages around an appointment, quote, COI request, or renewal, and fewer at other times. We do not guarantee a fixed number of messages per month.

4. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard text messaging and data charges may apply to messages you send or receive. Check your wireless plan for details. SDL Commercial Insurance does not charge a separate fee for SMS; carrier charges are between you and your carrier.

5. How to opt out (STOP)

To opt out at any time, text STOP.

Reply STOP to any SMS from us to cancel SMS from SDL Commercial Insurance. You may also use similar carrier-supported keywords (such as CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or END) where supported. After you opt out, you should receive a confirmation, and we will stop sending you SMS (except as needed to confirm the opt-out). You can opt back in later by following a new consent process on our site or by contacting us.

Opting out of SMS does not cancel insurance coverage or delete your insurance records; it only stops text messages.

Our services are directed to California artisan contractors and adult decision-makers, not children.

Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing insurance, but certain service reminders may be useful if you choose to opt in.

10. Supported carriers / delivery

SMS may be supported by major U.S. wireless carriers. Delivery is subject to your carrier’s network and is not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carriers, handset issues, or network outages.
